Just before leaving town for the holidays, Congress approved and the President signed a FY 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill. The spending package includes 11 different appropriations bills, including the Labor/Education/HHS bill and the State, Foreign Operations bill - the two with the most impact on family planning and population issues.
